With the enormous growth of the corporate sector, opportunity for Chartered Accountants throughout India has increased tremendously. Chartered Accountants or the CA`s enjoy key posts in business firms. They manage finances, prepare and analyse accounts and give financial advice.
CA`s maintain the records of financial transactions which every organisation is required to keep by law. They record the income and expenditure of the companies and organisations and form the basis of annual accounts. A firm`s account books need to be audited by a qualified and certified accountant who has received the degree from the institute of `Chartered Accountants of India` and give a `true and fair` view to the company`s affair.
Nature of Work :-
Chartered Accountants may practice privately or may be in regular employment in a firm. The range of work may depend on the size of the firm and/or its place of practice.
In Industries Chartered Accountants are essentially involved in the accounting and financial planning departments. They are involved in planning prospectus and annual reports, managing various long term investments for various categories.
If it is a large firm, the individuals accountants may specialize in various fields. Eg. Income Tax, Sales Tax etc.
